Amber Leigh White is the epitome of resiliency. The singer-songwriter, who lands somewhere between Americana and mainstream Country on the genre specter, has lived the stories of redemption and survival in which she sings. Her first record deal with DreamWorks came to fruition from a personal song written about her teenage pregnancy, “Easy Lovin’ You”. After the label folded in the early 2000s, White turned her focus to her career as a published songwriter and the important job of raising her children with songwriter husband Phillip White (“I’m Moving On”). After a year of change, including an amicable divorce and an empty next, the endearing artist has found her voice again through music. The upcoming album, written and produced by White, showcases a confident vocal range that infuses Nashville inspiration with her small-town Texas roots and warm humanity. White’s ultimate hope for the project in 2016 is to inspire others who have also experienced life’s highs and lows, through the new music, but also through financial support. She plans to give away 10% of all revenues from her music and merchandise sales to worthy women-based charities to help others get through their own tribulations. Always evolving, White remains honest to the core with a fierce strength in her soul, and that’s something that follows her wherever she goes.
